i like its slogan which says: "Action Counts. Start a project, invite your friends and track your impact. Search for projects that are looking for your skills or match your interests." So everyone can be part of something.

You might say that surveymonkey.com can do the surveys, too. Yes, you are right. However, surveys created at surveymonkey will stay at surveymonkey. Not like polldaddy which let you embed your survey in your own website(s). I thought to add this note.

The use of Tumblr is simple. On your account webpage, drag Tumblr's button to your Bookmarks Bar. Each time you are reading on internet and like to save a piece of information, you can highlight what you like and click this button. An editor box pops up. If you don't want to change anything just click Post. You are done. You have saved what you like for future reference.
You can follow other Tumblr blogs to bring in their posts and you can be followed by others this way, too. Thus, information are shared within such a "social network".

MessageDance is an email-based utility for all of your social network messaging. One email sent by you goes to multiple social destinations like Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, blogs, and more. Your friends can also send public messages to your MessageDance widgets – wherever you have them placed – with Just One Email.

This is somehow another problem. In order to use Twitter by mobile phone one has to pay for text message service. In order to fully take the advantage of Web2.0 one might need wireless access to internet for his/her cell phone. So cost is a problem for implementing Twitter facilitated teaching.

I want to mention about the limitations, from my point of view, the Twitter has, or maybe just a wishlist.

Categories, collections, or sets, or even tags like Flickr does. So users can organize their twitters and decide what to be public or private.

The Following and Followed system are confusing. It assumes that you can have only one group of friends, coworkers, families. I wish there is a category system like the above mentioned for people so you can twitter to different groups. Twitter has the Direct message and @user functions. But they work for individuals. If there is a Direct message and @users mechanism for groups, that certainly will be better! Users now are using different account to handle for this purpose, which is really inconvenient. Why multiple account while a new category system should work?
